Agyekum Sampong is the Executive Head for the Northern Sector at Vodafone Ghana. He has more than 10 years of senior leadership experience in telecommunications. Agyekum started his career in microfinance and banking before joining Millicom Ghana as part of the pioneering team of Tigo Cash in Ghana. Rising to the top of the commercial space, Agyekum later joined Vodafone, where he now leads the Northern Sector Team. 

With a Master’s degree in Agriculture, and numerous cross-sector qualifications in IT Service Management, Marketing, Negotiation skills, Project Management and Digital Leadership, Agyekum has worked in all the major regions of Ghana and made a name for himself as a strategic commercial asset in the telecommunications industry.

Duke Nguyen is a proud alumnus of the University of Alberta, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science. He worked for the municipal government and had years of experience doing community engagement to tap into the power of the people to make positive changes. He is committed to making a difference. Whether it’s making policy changes, planning events for communities, or convening with under-represented groups regarding critical issues. He loves to see people succeed, and is hopeful for a society where no one is left behind.

Sonia has extensive experience in office administration and event planning coordination. She has occupied executive administration positions within the not-for-profit, private and public sectors.  During this time she has built on relationships and multi-tasking skills in order to run smooth office operations and protocols.

She holds a Business Administration Diploma from NAIT and continues to be a lifelong learner. During her career she has taken many in house technical training programs to stay on top of the job. She has volunteered for United Way organizing annual fundraiser events within the public sector.
Her interests are nature walks, hiking, yoga, volunteering, and reading.  She loves spending time with her family and friends. She has lived in Edmonton and area all her life since her parents migrated from Portugal.

Sukhvir is currently working for the City of Edmonton in communication and engagement. Before joining the city, she was working for Direct energy essential services. She had post-graduation in project management and leadership strategies plus holds a Master’s in Nanotechnology along with research work and a few publications.

Sukhvir has 4+ years of experience in customer engagement with customers over the phone and in person. Over the past couple of years, she developed key skills including stakeholder, communication, and quality management plus interpersonal and presentation skills.

Dennis is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of investment and accounting operations experience. His previous work experience includes a recent employment as Senior Accountant for Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo). Prior to that, he was an Investment Accountant for Vestcor Inc., formerly New Brunswick Investment Management Corporation

Dennis is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants – UK and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada – CPA – Canada. He holds a Master of Quantitative Investment Management from University of New Brunswick and BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University.
